| Put the power of steam into your cleaning with this steam cleaner
from DeLonghi. Using a pressurized jet of steam to dissolve
dirt and grease, this handy tool cleans floors, tiles, carpets,
armchairs, car interiors, showers, radiators, shutters, ovens,
and windows--virtually any grimy surface you can reach--all
without the use of chemical fluids. The bright yellow, 1.8-liter
boiling tank attaches to 6 feet of flexible hose with an adjustable
3-1/2-foot arm for floor-to-ceiling extension. DeLonghi includes
safety features, too, like a switch to interrupt the flow of
steam and a tank cap that doesn’t open if there’s
steam in the boiler. Features we like: an illuminated on/off
button, a childproof tank cap, smooth-rolling caster wheels,
a carrying handle, wraparound cord storage, and clear covers
on the power switches. For accessories, DeLonghi includes a
crevice tool with brush, a carpet/floor attachment, a swiveling
triangular brush for corners, a window-cleaning squeegee, a
sturdy washcloth, and a tank-refill measuring cup. |
| No assembly is necessary to put this compact, lightweight
vacuum to work washing spills and soil out of carpets and upholstery.
Using a combination of hot tap water and cleaning solution applied
with a finger trigger, the vacuum washes fibers and then sucks
up the dirty water and transports it to a second tank. (Both
clean- and dirty-water tanks are transparent for water-level
monitoring.) Weighing just 9 pounds, the 480-watt vacuum has
an easy-access on/off switch on the handle and empties with
one hand through a spout. It's 12 inches in diameter and 13
inches high. The hose is 5 feet long and the cord 12 feet, and,
for storage, the hose wraps around the bottom and the cord around
the top. Accompanying the vacuum is an 8-ounce bottle of detergent. |

| The Bissell steam mop for bare floors is ready to blast away
grime in just 30 seconds and gets the job done without the use
of chemicals or detergents. Powered by a tank of tap water,
the environmentally friendly mop shoots steam out of its 10-1/2-inch
floor nozzle when you pull the handle trigger. The machine-washable
terry-cloth mop pad wipes up the results. Slim and lightweight,
the mop features an easily maneuvered swivel head with a conveniently
shallow profile for under cabinets and shelves. It is safe for
