Mazda RX - 8
It might sound like a strange thing to say about a car, but the Mazda RX-8 is easily one of the best value cars around. Firstly, it is nothing short of fabulous. You get the stunning good looks, four seats, buckets of standard equipment and a smooth engine for the price of a fairly entry level BMW 3-series. When you consider that the Audi TT and Nissan 350Z are more expensive than the RX-8, you realise that Mazda have a winner on their hands. The RX-8s twin-rotary engine develops 192 or 231bhp depending on the model. The handling is first class too. It is brilliant fun to drive. Surprisingly, this car is really comfortable and perfectly usable as an every day car. It is in short - amazing.

Good Point
Fantastic Rotary engine

Bad Point
There are not enough to go around.

Audi TT
The TT, even a number of years after its launch remains one of the most desirable cars on the road. It is such a beautiful design. It drives well too, thanks to quattro four-wheel drive. It faces some stiff competition from the tide of new rivals on the way such as the Mazda RX8 and Nissan 350Z, but despite this, the TT looks set to become a true classic. The 3.2-litre model has just arrived and is amazing, adding the extra power the car needed, and of course the amazing DSG gearbox.

Good Point
Sex appeal, performance, virility, you name it - itÕs got it. A simply wonderful design.

Bad Point
A fashion item that may look odd down the road? Who cares now though!

Porsche 911
This for many is the car to really aspire to. A Porsche is beautiful, wickedly fast, and to a degree, somewhat practical in that you can drive it everyday without any headaches.(Apart from fuel, tax and insurance - but then when you spend this amount of money you won't be too upset). The range is now topped by the 414bhp Turbo that reaches 60mph in just over four seconds and has a top speed of 190mph.

Good Point
The stuff that dreams are made of......

Bad Point
Almost too much money to spend on one car - almost.

PORSCHE Boxter
Edible looks will turn heads 360 degrees, especially when you drop the top, while wonderfully balanced white-knuckle performance comes courtesy of two precociously smooth and hugely competent engine options (2.7 and 3.2 litre V6ers) that will ensure you get to the church on time. More elbow power in Boxster 'S' format. If you let your hair down, don't lose it. Dandruff? Drive at 100mph (don't break the speed limit though) with the top down. One of the most desirable cars on the road and a real winner.

Good Point
Dandruff? Drive at 100mph (donÕt break the speed limit though) with the top down. Fun all the way

Bad Point
Faults? Faults? We looked all over and found none. Is this a fault?

Lexus SC430
Glorious SC430 is Lexus finest work yet. Features a Mark Levinson stereo that will blow you away and a retractable hard top roof that wont. Performance from the V8 engine is blistering although the suspension set up of the car is such that it is not quite used to certain roads and a bumpy twisty road is a bit of a nightmare. Otherwise you can just sit back and enjoy the ride in one of the most luxurious pieces of equipment you will ever see.

Good Point
Amazing in every regard except one.

Bad Point
The handling is such a let down in what is otherwise an amazing car.
